FACTORY - go to market - Startup Salzburg

With the FACTORY incubation programme, we support innovative, market- and start-up-ready Salzburg start-ups every year. We accompany you for twelve months in your individual development steps. During this time, we and your mentor will prepare you for market entry and further growth and you will gain exclusive access to collaborations with the established economy.

Our new additional programme FACTORY+ (AplusB) promotes research-, technology- and innovation-based start-up projects in particular and supports you with special additional services. An external jury decides which participants qualify for FACTORY and the additional FACTORY+ programme. FACTORY / FACTORY+ take place in a combination of digital learning and coaching sessions and face-to-face modules.

What do FACTORY startups get?

Individual ongoing coaching by the experienced Startup Salzburg team
Support by selected mentors – CEOs and experienced managers from the established economy – in the extent of approx. 25 hours
Essential group and individual trainings with recognized market experts
Exclusive access to market and capital through networking with corporates, institutions and investor networks
Presence in the (online and print) media of the Startup Salzburg partners
Appearance at the Startup Salzburg DEMO DAY, one of the largest startup events in Western Austria
Subsidy of the state of Salzburg in the amount of up to 25.000,- Euro

Prerequisites

You can apply for the FACTORY if you …

have a startup with a business model based on a technology- or knowledge-based innovation.
have a product or service available at least as a functional prototype (proof of concept) and have formulated a basic market strategy (business plan).
you are aiming for a clear growth perspective for your company.
you founded your company no more than five years ago or are currently in the process of doing so.
you have already formed the management team for your startup.
and your startup or company location is in the province of Salzburg.

You can apply for the additional programme FACTORY+ (AplusB programme) if you …

are pursuing a start-up project that is based on research, technology and innovation (RTI).
are pursuing a start-up project with high growth potential and/or a high propensity for growth.

RTI-based start-up projects are defined by the fact that the business model / product / service is based on one or more of the following points, for example:

High innovative content or strong technological unique selling point
Research and/or development activities in an academic context
Intellectual property, technology transfer and/or spin-off activities from (non-)university research institutions
Completed or planned co-operation projects with (non-)university research institutions
etc.
